Wow that's come on a day when I actually have things I can talk about! It's now almost 9pm ... so, what I have I been up to so far today,
My alarm goes off at 7.10 and once up and got my water, I checked on my emails before settling in the hall, with my back to the radiator to read my Bible. Today was Ezra 1 - 3, and part of Psalm 119 (which I read aloud ... another part of my physio exercises.) After reading and committing my day to God I got back to checking LJ, and having breakfast.
After that it was emptying the airing cupboard and packing clothes to bring back to Torquay, and packing the rest away in Bude. The "washed and dressed" and out the house, with bags, by 9.45 ... and a drive about 1/2 mile to our Orchestral Commitee meeting ... now we have a new secretary (the girl who caused problems left suddenly for no apparant reason!), we have one meeting a term. It lasted about 2 1/2 hours, but we got a lot done ... and it was actually a fairly enjoyable morning.
As I left I went via the Town Council to add a couple of bookings for future concert,then on my way ...
But after 8 miles I stopped ... to go swimming. Having given up riding I was getting terribly unfit, so started swimming again. I am actually scared of water (long story there) ... but am swimming twice a week - and now am up to 25 lenths (of a 25m pool).
Then showered, changed and back to the car for the sandwiches I'd made when I got breakfast) ... and then off to Mum and Dad's ... a 75min drive) I got there just as Dad had put the kettle on - yay, good timing ...a cuppa!
Then I went and collected windfall cooking (Brambley) apples, and then got a ladder and picked the rest. After that Mum and i sorted them, and some went into store, some for preparation ... and then I peeled, cored etc about 6lbs ... which were stewed and put in 1lb packets in the freezer.
Mum made tea - cheese on toast and then I had toast and marmalade and some apples ... Cox's
From there it was watching some TV while trying to get Jiffy to settle with all the local fireworks. A quick check on LJ and some meme-ing, before watching a DVD a friend had sent me ... and now I'm here.
Once I finish this I shall turn off Dad's pc and watch the 2nd part of my DVD ... before reading some Spuffy - and bed.
My life isn't normally that busy, so it was good to have a busy day to scribble about - although even on a quiet day, I never just sit around - I'm job hunting, iconning ... or doing a bit more writing. I try to practice my clarinet every day - but the observant have noticed that didn't occur today - oh well, tomorrow is another day!
