Spuffy Fic - There’s A First Time for Everyone (Chapter 1)

I did say I would get back to my writing ... but procrastination tends to win ... anyway, I have chapter 1 of a new fic!

It is set immediately at the end of "Hells Bells" in BtVS's Season 6 .... and the plot bunnies came from a prompt on schmoop_bingo of First Date.

1260 words, and no warnings needed!

I loved Tara and really had wanted to see her and Buffy become friends.

The story started as a small idea but then it got "out of hand" in seeing the main characters learn a bit about themselves

I love that Tara and Buffy have some quiet time to discuss all that and that Buffy comes to some realisations, with Tara's loving support.

Thanks - I really love Tara - and I wish that she could have been more involved as she would have been such a positve input fro all the Scoobies, not just Buffy.

She was terribly underused, just like Anya!! Afterall she was 1100 yo ex demon, you'd think the Scoobies remembered that and asked her about stuff!!

Tara and Anya were the newcomers, at a time when Willow and Xander were learning to be adults - so sad that their "better" halves ended up so neglected ... they were both lovely characters.

I love Tara - she is an amazing character - she could have been so good for the Scoobies, couldn't she.

I'm so excited you are writing again. I loved Tara. She saw things the others ignored because they were so set in their ways. She confronted Willow long before the others realized Willow was using magic to fix things.

Buffy was always afraid of her friends not approving her actions. She let their opinions guide her too often instead of doing what was right for her.

Riley, well, you know my opinion of Riley.

Thanks Kuda - it's beena real struggle to get back into the habit again - and I've been stunned at the positive result this chapter has had ... hope the rest is as poular - LOL

I love Tara - given the chance she could have made a really positive influence on all the Scoobies - so it's great to see buffy breaking down a few of those barriers ... which (as you reminded us earlier this week) started with her father, Angelus ... and Riley!
