Well, I should be at the gym, or at work ... but have the day off instead. As I said in my icon post I have been doing extra shifts at work, which is good for the bank balance, but I have been struggling with the exhaustion. Marvelously I have been able to keep going at work, so haven't had to leave early, but then ended up falling asleep in my ( Read more... )

Thanks for those photos I’d love to visit the house at some point as I’m a huge fan.

Well done of filling your week with work! Sounds ideal as it keeps it interesting.

I hound it fascinating learning about her life.

Yes, it's good to "keep myself out of mischief", as Mum would have said

Imagine having to fill in my occupation on a form now!

Medical support :)

I d enjoy your visits to interesting houses as you take more 'rea' pictures than show up in their guide books. I saw something about Greenway House on television not that long ago - but it still looks more interesting in your pictures.

Great answer - when I mentioned my confusion to one of the secretaries I work with, she said I might as well put something like "dolphin trainer" to see how many people read forms!!

I love looking at details - so thought I would share this extra picture with you, of some fascinating cups I saw ....

What wonderful cups! And I do love those wee faces, too. She was a lady of eclectic tastes.

Certainly one of those places that you could go back to often and see something new.

Lovely pictures. It sounds as if you are doing much better (health-wise) with being able to work a full week. That's great news.

Thanks - more photos to come.

It is great to be able to work extra hours ... even if I am wiped out by the end of the day!

I only picked up one extra shift this week and it really drained me! Kudos to you for trying to pad that bank account.

Now that I own a house, I see homes like this and at first I go "ooooh aaaah" and then the back of my head goes "oh dear god, I can't even keep my tiny house clean, how did these people ever do anything but clean?". I guess the answer is maids. But still. I have one room that I use for putting stuff and I don't go in there much and I feel bad for wasting that extra space. Imagine how many rooms I could crap stuff into with a house this big?! Tim would never know about the Star Wars and Buffy toys I snuck home...

Thanks for sharing these pictures though! What a cool place to visit. I really love the library and the soldier's decorations.

I always love how "posh" houses look, and I always think, wouldn't it look good in my house .... but I have so much "junk" I don't do minimal and tidy ... maybe I just need to move into a larger house (trouble is, larger bills, as well!)

There are more photos to come, soon

Wow, what a fun place to visit for her fans! Too bad my Aunt Kathy can't afford a trip like that. She's a huge Agatha Christie and Ellery Queen fan.

Glad you got to go and enjoy yourself!
