Please know that waiting for updates is a-okay, you don't have to apologize to us! Real life must take precedence, obviously, and if writing becomes a chore instead of a pleasure, well, that defeats its purpose, in my opinion. Moreover, better an update every n-months than an abandoned story ;3

In any long-term creative project, burnout and getting sick of the project--losing sight of what made it fun and awesome in the first place--is toxic, and will certainly destroy your productivity.
Don't let the internet pressure you into adopting a more aggressive release schedule than you're prepared to take on. Keep writing, by all means, and let us know what's going on, but don't lose sight of why what you're doing is awesome.
