Bizarre request:
My flatmate has just received word from two prospective employers in two days that she is still jobless. She would like to know how to say, "It's all gone to hell in a hand basket" in as many different languages as possible. Literal translations back into English just for humour's sake, as well, please.
Thanks!

I found two possible translations:
- "Hier geht alles zum Teufel."
Possible literal translation: "Everything's going to the devil."
Better translation: "Everything's going to hell."
- "Hier geht alles den Bach runter."
Possible literal translation: "Everything's going down the river/creek."
Better translation: "Everything's going down the drain/toilet."
The first might be closer to the hell aspect of the original, but I also like the second one.
Not sure what 'tense' you want to use. Is it still going to hell right now or has it already happened?
Hope it helps.

"è andato tutto a puttane" looks like the better one: "everything has gone to hooker"

What about.......
'Ennek annyi.' = It's over/dead but in a rather humoros or... ironic way. (Kinda close in meaning to 'so much about that' but that's not the literal meaning of it).
'Le lett húzva a budin.' =Been flushed down the toilet.
'Ez el lett szarva.' =It has gone wrong/shit (bit slang-ish, not the nicest (nor the rudest) choice of words.)
Hope any of these have something close to what you are looking for, babe. :)
