Oh mannnn you have NO IDEA how much I needed curtainfic tonight! And curtainfic of this caliber, ugh, it's like I wished upon a star and the star was like "Okay, I have nothing better to do -- POOF!" Watching them both struggle is hard, yet I feel somehow that their life is actually kind of okay. Traumatic brain injury notwithstanding. I mean... there are latte flowers. Life can't be that bad if there are latte flowers. And a big brother to watch out for you and pay all your bills. (And don't think I didn't notice that you made him limp, OH I NOTICED.) ♥

THE LEG WAS FOR YOU!!!!!!! I almost dedicated the hurt leg to you but I thought that would be too silly!

Thank you so much. I've been in a writing funk for a while so I was just so glad to actually finish and post something. So many ♥ for you for reading! And for latte flowers. There should always be latte flowers.

Try that on an automatic machine! ;)

Miss you by the way!

I'm sort of in a writing funk myself :( Fanfic-writing, anyway. Though I am working on a story AS WE SPEAK, which I hope to goodness I can post sometime in the next few days.

I miss you too! Life, she makes it hard to get online sometimes.

AND THANK YOU FOR THE LEG. *cherishes it*

I think that while Dean is obviously exhausted, he is also very grateful. I doubt he would give any of this up if he was given a chance to do whatever he wanted but without his brother. Sam gives back in his own ways. My heart broke for the kid for trying to do what he could to help. It would be hard for him to have to be so reliant on Dean and feel like a burden. I loved this story and totally inhaled worried, protective Dean :) Awesome story!

I'm so glad you liked it - thanks so much! I wasn't entirely sure I had another fic in me. :)

I'm so very glad that you liked it and that the characterization worked for both characters, not just Dean. It's hard to write a damaged Sam who is still Sam, as I have a feeling the show's writers have found out this season. :)

Thank you so much for reading!

ETA - lol, I haven't been feeling well and didn't get much sleep and hadn't realized I'd already responded. Oh well - this is a better response anyway. :)

Yay!!! New fic from you! I was a tad worried you had left fandom. ;D
I feel for Dean- the stress of trying to keep everything in order, worrying about Sam, it's a load to be sure.
And poor Sam, I know it must kill him inside not feeling able to contribute as much as he'd want and worrying about how much Dean's taking on.
A wonderful look at how tough this new life is on the boys, in each of their own ways.

I've sort of been straying a little (the fic for XMFC is awesome!) but I think the boys are still true love for me. It was a little difficult to keep them both somewhat in character and yet have the circumstances of their life so drastically changed.

But I really do see this as a happily ever after. They're together!

Thanks so much for reading!

No!! You are not allowed to stray! Unless of course it turns into a crossover cos, Oh! XMFC! I'd so be there to read it! Haha!
But seriously, you worry too much, the boys were perfect! I couldn't imagine them being any other way. They're survivors, they will always roll with it and do what needs to be done. There will be a bit of bitching and grumbling but they'll deal with it cos they're together and that's all they need anymore. So for me, in my head, they're perfect!
