Jason had had a far less traumatizing weekend than Nico, even with Bruce in town. It had been surprisingly nice to have Bruce around - at least, when Jason didn't mention Nico. Bruce said they'd met, but that was it, and not knowing what had happened was driving him crazy. The fact that he made it until after class before going and knocking on Nico's door was a miracle.
"Oh, just me being stupid and some of my least favorite gods deciding that cursing me will help them feel better about having someone like me in the family. Typical Parents' Weekend stuff, you know." But then, Jason had been lucky enough not to meet Hades back when he'd been in town. "Nothing to worry about."
"You're so weird," Nico said, staring at Jason. And the cast, he just couldn't get used to it. "I could've totally messed up stuff with you and Bruce but you're still looking all worried about my problems."
Jason noticed the cast staring, and awkwardly tried to put his arm behind him. "You didn't mess anything up with me and Bruce. Trust me, I know when he's not happy with me, and he was fine when he left. And I'm not looking worried, I am worried. I don't like talk of you and curses."
Nico didn't like that Jason was trying to hide his arm, and he moved in closer, his hand reaching hesitantly to touch the cast. "And I don't like that you got hurt. But there's no avoiding everything, right?"
"It's not Bruce's fault that I got hurt," Jason said, letting Nico touch the cast. He couldn't tell what Nico wanted with it now. "And you still didn't tell me how you got cursed."
"Right." Nico totally still blamed Bruce. This didn't stop him from trying to guide Jason to sit with him while they talked so Nico could keep staring at the cast. "I had a couple of godly visitors. Well, Apollo dropped in to yell at me and Hera stopped by 'cause she likes making demigods miserable, especially the ones she considers blights. I was maybe less than pleasant."
"You're not a blight," Jason said, even though he barely knew what Nico meant by that. "I can't imagine being pleasant to someone who insulted me like that." Watching Nico, Jason squirmed a little self consciously as he sat. "I'm sorry, I can't take my cast off yet. It seems like it bothers you."
"I'm not upset with you at all," Nico shared, looking at Jason in confusion because he hadn't thought this was news. "Especially not for getting hurt. It wasn't your fault."
"Yeah it was. I provoked an angry mob. I went against orders, 'cause I wasn't even supposed to be in Gotham. I wouldn't have gotten hurt if I'd stayed here, or stayed inside," Jason said. If Bruce thought that way, it was probably right.
"No way. A mob of stupid people trying to kill you is in no way your fault," Nico insisted, shaking his head at Jason's insane idea. "If anything I'd like a list of their names," he murmured mostly to himself. "Maybe mess with their spot in line when they go for judgment."
Yeah, it was going to be hard to stop him from holding a grudge with people who messed with Jason.
"You wouldn't really do that, would you?" Jason asked, surprised by how angry Nico was at those people. Jason had been angry too, but it was different to have Nico so much on his side.

"Well, okay, it does bother me, but only 'cause I wish I could help you somehow. It just...looks like it hurts."
