"Aw, you're not going to greet our guest naked~?
That would certainly perk anyone's day right up!" Kisuke said, straightening up from his crouch by the feline. Tossing her a light smile, he reached back to slide the door open for the cat. As amusing as it would be to watch her paw at the door to get it to open, or just pop back into her human form and freak out Tessai and the kids with her nakedness, today wasn't the day for that.
Turning to leave the feline with her privacy to revert to her normal form and get clothed, Kisuke padded around the wrap porch to the front of the store and stopped when he saw his would-be customer. "Sousuke-san... I didn't think anyone would come shopping today."
Yoruichi let out a laugh--well, as empty as it sounded on this day, and as best as a cat could imitate a laugh--before she stepped into the room. When she heard Kisuke leaving, she let her human side appear and casually browsed around the room for her clothing (she always left some here--it was convenient to come by and change).
She found her older outfit that she wore in battle against Adaro in the building and smiled bitterly in irony. It was all washed and carefully folded--probably by Ururu's hands--and when she put it on, it felt different, as if the seams were stained with history.
When she was finished, Yoruchi walked around to get to the front of the store. There she saw the familiar face of Aizen--familiar because she has seen him before, but only decently so because she had not spoken to him in so long. She said nothing but gave him a nod of acknowledgement; then she simply went to stand by Kisuke's side.
"I didn't think you'd be closed today!" retorted the shinigami with a weary smile. Shaking his head, he sighed. "It simply didn't seem right to join the manhunt this soon. Though I mourn her loss and want to see her avenged, I know that at the moment I cannot keep a clear mind during a battle. And oh yes, there will be a battle, and I simply wanted to prepare for it."
Aizen smiled warmly, shoving his hands into pockets. "Ah, Yoruichi-san. It's been a while. Not since that incident at the Karakura Career fair. Such a shame what happened that day." He turned to Kisuke, "I'm sure you've heard from Hinamori and been told that Ariasawa has been absorbed into my division for the time being? I felt it best to keep her safe. Especially with her murderer still on the streets."
"In one country here, it's standard policy to lower their flags out of respect for the death of a public official. I figured lowering my doors so to speak for the rest of the day was the least I could do for Retsu-san. And I'm really not kept in the loop on such things, Sousuke-san, of the Gotei 13's affairs," Kisuke said, leaning against one of the poles, his cane tapping against his leg. "But Hinamori-san did come around with Arisawa-san for her gigai, so I did assume something like that was the case. I only know the vague details of what happened with poor Arisawa-san and ... Kaname-san, correct?"
Gazing up past the edge of the overhanging roof at the cloudless sky, Kisuke sighed and closed his eyes a brief moment before opening them once more. Pulling his hat a bit, he glanced over at Aizen. "Why don't you come in for tea? It's been a long time since we've spoken over tea. Were you even a captain in those days? The mind, it's faulty." He gave the man a wan smile as he turned to head into the house through the shop.
