[Compile] Shinji, Tousen, Lisa, Hachi, Kensei

Shinji raised an eyebrow at Kensei's fierce statement, although it was hidden along with his eyes by his long fringe. Crossing his arms, he held back a sigh. It wasn't that he didn't wish things were as simple as Kensei made them out to be, but looking past the truth would make fools of them all in the end.

"No one's gettin' warm an' fuzzy, Kensei, 'cept maybe Tousen. Don't get yer panties in a knot. Of course if they mess with us we'll do what we have to... but at this point, just letting them do 'whatever' might not cut it. Would be better to keep an eye out, stay one step ahead, not get our feet knocked out from under us again..." Recalling the panic he had felt upon realizing Hiyori had been taken by the Arrancar, without her weapon, only made Shinji's sentiment stronger.

"I'm not sayin' we have to waltz into their camp every single day and wage war or anything. Just maybe... have more sense about us than before." A cinnamon glimmer of iris peeked out from the shadow beneath his hair. "Surely you see the sense in that."

The sparring session seemed doomed to never start thought the man as he dropped his fighting stance. Shinji's words only further reminded Tousen of how much of a target that the Vaizored were in the eyes of the arrancar. He let his hair back down and tucked his hair tie back into his pocket before he addressed the Vaizored leader.

"So if it's highly beneficial to us we take action then?" Asked Tousen.

Lisa grinned, sticking out her tongue a little. If anything could cheer her up, a good round of Kensei-baiting could. There was little the thug wouldn't have a fire-y response to and that entertained her more than he could possibly ever imagine.

"Not action, new kid," Lisa countered, crossing her arms over her chest, "If we move, they move. They move, we chance dead vaizored and that's a whole lot more shit than I'm prepared to deal with."

She brushed her glasses up her nose, "But, staying like we are now and not doing anything after the crap they pulled with Hiyori-" Lisa fought the urge to scowl. That had been partially her fault in the first place, not stopping the zombie kid before he snagged the little vaizored leader, "-is like asking for it to happen again. We don't act out, but it's not like we can't be better prepared and stay in better touch than we have been lately."

Hachi gave a sigh of relief when it became clear that no spar would occur today. He relaxed the barrier, lowering it only to the basic masking level, where those familiar with Vaizard reiatsu would be able to find them with a bit of effort. He then joined in on the discussion.

"But as Shinji mentioned," Hachi said, glancing up at Lisa, "We don't pay attention, and we get caught unaware. And I'm sure that is one situation we don't want to be caught in again." He rubbed his temples briefly to alleviate the coming stress. "Our goal right now should be to strike the balance between observing the war, and actually participating."

"Should we accidentally stick our noses too far in their business, Adaro will most likely take it the wrong way, and group us as allied with the Shinigami." He quickly glanced around the room, to make sure everyone got the message. "And although I hate to admit it, our distance from the shinigami is what's kept us distanced from the arrancar for the most part."

Kensei caught the triumphant -- and spoiled -- reaction from Lisa, eyes narrowing as his jaw jutted forward, set grumpily. He would get her back, stealing the porn portion of her books never failed to settle the scores between them. Or, failing that, got him enough porn to survive a few weeks. That, in itself, made vengeance worthwhile to attempt.

"Yeah, we stay in touch? Ch', then what? The buddy system?" Kensei shook his head. It was not that he saw no worth in what they said, but if they could not find a functional response to this whole arrancar versus shinigami war, then they would be the ones looking the fools. They had given up a lot of things as Vaizored, and gained a lot, but they had their own kind of pride to hold onto. Their freedom, of life and choice, of doing what the hell they wanted, how they wanted.

They could handle this threat, posed as it was, without being wusses about it. "We ain't here to be a part of this war, I say we get our shit sorted out and let them finish, or we sort them out however the hell it works," he muttered, cracking his knuckles. "We start trying to figure out where we fit and they're gonna look at us like we're some sorta piece fer their puzzles. Keep an eye open all ya like, but I ain't gonna be jumpin' at shadows fer them."
