Even though she had not been there in months, Asuka recognized the Nexus as soon as she stepped through the portal. Lovely. She tucked her apartment keys into her pocket and dropped the pizza box on to the nearest available flat surface -- which just happened to be the floor. Asuka narrowed her eyes as she glared at the gaudy neon sign. Question. Right.
"The trouble with going somewhere new to make a fresh start is that you're you no matter where you go. Sometimes, though, I still can't help but think about it. Anybody out there actually done it? Made a new start, I mean.
"If you've thought about it, where would you go and what would you do?"
Asuka deposited herself next to the pizza box, sitting cross-legged on the floor. She took out a slice of ham and pineapple pizza, gooey cheese clinging to the rest of the pizza until it finally snapped.
"Anybody else want a slice?"
