J's made an effort today to look smart and snazzy and all that jazz. Though it just doesn't quite compare to his friend who pretty much radiates sophistication. It doesn't matter all that much to J who knows he's more fun has his hands all over Liam. Liam accepts the manhandling, although he'll make an effort to keep things decent. For the children

Will's smile is quiet but sincere -- he's often wondered if he did the right thing, helping J. Seeing him happy, however -- if the cause is somewhat bemusing -- is a good feeling.

"Congratulations, I suppose," he says briskly. "And I don't do sappy or romantic, for which I am extremely grateful."

Interesting. "Can I ask or ... ?"

"Would I have to mention numbers? I hate feeling old."

"Go on," Will encourages him. "I'm not one to judge by numbers."

He pulls a face. "Say... around seventeen years? And before you even think I'm old, we age slower than humans so I'm still young!"

Will nods thoughtfully. "I'm from 1977," he offers. "That mean I've got you beat?"

"In my world, you've got me well beaten."

[w0tcha]

Will grins. "Well, then."

[sable_mind]

"Well at least I didn't make any bets on that."

[w0tcha]

"I'm not exactly the betting type," Will volunteers. "So you'd have been safe." He pauses. "How did you find the Nexus then?"

"Lucky for me. I found it by... following an acquaintance. You?"

[w0tcha]

"I was walking through worlds, and I found it," Will says. "Of course, I had more free time then."

[sable_mind]

"Lucky for some. How'd you do that anyway?"

[w0tcha]

"Mm," Will agrees. "Well, it's like time only you go through rather than sideways."

[sable_mind]

"...I'm surprised I actually understood that. Does it take much effort?"

[w0tcha]

"Well, it depends how, mm. Natural the path you're following is. If there's a strong link, similarity between the two worlds, it's a lot easier to make the connection."
