Oh, G

::Schuldig is dressed something like a classic banker stereotype in bowler hat and pin-striped suit and has a spiffy walking cane. No spats at least. Smiling widely, he's lounging on a Nexus couch.::

Why is that so many brands' black bean soups seem to have corn as their major ingredient?

If that doesn't thrill you, what's your favorite guilty

This somehow attracts the attention of the eccentric little fellow over there by the planters, who is apparently harvesting leaves and flowers for some unknown purpose. He looks up at the question and actually shudders, his pathological fear of people forgotten for the moment.

"Ugh. Corn is in absolutely everything. Bread, soup, everything, everything, everything. Corn bread. Corn soup. And corn syrup, no matter how much fructose it's got in it--do you have any idea what's actually in that stuff?--something I will never use. Have never used, never use now, and never will use."

He blinks at the second question, though, staring a bit blankly. "Why feel guilty about enjoying things?"

Corn syrup is in way too much stuff.

Guilty because society looks down on it, or it's something that's supposed to be bad for you. There's very little I feel guilty about.

This makes the little fellow shudder again, followed by a series of truly irreproducible faces.

"Egh. Not in anything of mine, and you can bet on that."

He ponders, however, on the guilt issue for a moment. "Nonsense. Guilt is for people who don't have enough imagination to realise they don't need a reason to enjoy things. Not everything has to have a point to it."

You sound like a person after my own heart. Though guilt can give some things a nice little kick of the forbidden, which can spice life up a bit.

"Guilt is for losers." Hmm, wait.

"...unless we're playing with puns. Then it's you."

::smiiiile:: I like to think of myself as a lot of people's Guilty pleasure.

I'm trying to think of what would be a guilty pleasure for you. Maybe falling in love with the little bastard would have been, not that you're going to do that.

Oh, wow, that would be the sound of denial sneaking through Nagi's mind. Not that it's anything like love. More like a reluctant acknowledgement that complete loathing isn't the way things are going.

Nagi makes a grumpy face. "That wouldn't be a pleasure. That would be complete and utter misery."

If it were love for the Persia kitten, which it's not, it would be pleasure. But it's not. ::Few people can handle the sense Schuldig makes.::

Stop making that face, honey. It might get stuck that way. Sit with me!

"I couldn't answer you on the soup issue, my friend.. Sounds horrible."

"As for the guilty pleasure, I'd like to say you, but I haven't had that particular pleasure. Guess I'll have to go with sex in general, but I don't really feel all that guilty about it."

It is.

Heh. It doesn't count if you don't feel even vaguely guilty about it.

"Well then I guess I don't have a guilty pleasure.. The only things I feel guilty about are things I don't enjoy doing in the first place."

Today Mio is dressed in a black shirt with elbow length trumpet sleeves and a calf length skirt with a purple and black rose pattern. "Hello, Bad Ass-sensei. How have you been lately?" Mio bows to Schuldig.

Mio pauses to think for a moment while she consider's Schu's question. "I suppose my favorite guilty pleasure was guilt-tripping Misao-onee-sama, but unfortunately I can't do that anymore."

I could stand for things to be a bit more exciting than they are now, but I can't complain. Work's been going well, and Brad hasn't been too idiotic. You?

It can be sad losing a favorite target. I know how that is.

"Tax season is almost over, so I'll stop getting strange requests for files from our off-world accountants pretty soon. School's been doing fine as well. Since I placed out of so many things, I'm actually due to graduate in a couple of months... It's a little disconcerting since back home I would just be starting my starting my senior year."

"It was so much fun, because every time she saw my scar, it was like she was in pain. It's one of the main reasons I got this haircut, actually. My old one hid it too much."

Is finishing faster happier for you?

Heh. I approve! But, yeah, that would be difficult to replace.
