There are large suits of armor in the Nexus.
They are not giant mecha, but they are pretty big (ranging from 8 feet to 9 feet tall), and they are not SPARTANs. They move in packs of five or so, occasionally leaping via jets of flame released from their legs, but mostly walking or running. And they appear to be fairly heavily armed. None of them appear to be firing on anything, but something about the way they move together makes it a pretty safe guess that they're some sort of military group.
If someone were to, say, get close to a pack of them, they might even ask a question (they do know how the Nexus works, apparently).
"Would you rather lose your honor, or your life?" It could be interpreted as a threat, but it isn't. The pilots of these suits of honor seem to be genuinely curious, at least for now.
