Victor grinned something huge, and whispered something to Jude. He looked up and waved.

"That's a good thing to learn."

Sarah blinks at the familiar-looking woman, but doesn't seem surprised. Stupid timeflooded Nexus. "Hi, there. You look a lot older since the last time I saw you. Who's your friend?"

Sarah looks tired. "I'm learning that there's never a break from the Nexus."

"Oh yeah. I love it here." She took off her fedora and plopped it on Jude's head, who beeped (sheepishly? chidingly?)

"This is my kid, Jude." She smiled that proud mother smile. See how bright he is? See how well he colors?

"I wish I could feel as charitable right now," she murmurs. "Do you... do you know that you're older than normal now?"

She smiles at Jude. "Hello, Jude." He's bright all right. And shiny. "He's very cute," she tells Victor. She wonders how to politely inquire about robot babies from the future.

"I feel normal...? How old was I before? Do you think I might have been el oh eled?" She looked briefly concerned, then she reclaimed her hat.

Jude whirred in return, waving. She was used to questions, and she wouldn't mind them. "He really is."

"Besides that there is a sudden epidemic of very fine nearly-twenty-year-olds of my aquaintance arriving here many years older, I have not learned anything to speak of too recently. Hello Victor"

"Ah, well, that's really weird." Victor seemed oblivious to her own timeflooded status. "Maybe it's one of those chain-reaction el oh els."

"Heya, how're you?"

He picks up on it quickly and decides not to be a bother. "Perhaps so. It is the Nexus after all."

"I am very well, thank you. I think I need to read more about science." Maybe computers, if one of his dearest friends/Family members and one of his favorite Nexus pals are both going to have robots in their lives within the decade. He's relatively clueless, and that might need fixing.

He does, however, smile at the little fellow.

"I'm real glad you're well. I can lend you a few of my books, if you'd like?"

Jude couldn't quite smile back, but his eyes brightened a bit in acknowledgement and he gave Guillame a thumbs up.

"Trying to achieve some sort of unification between the scattered Gargoyle clans...," Elisa says, before noticing just who it is she's talking to. "Victor?!"

"That's one serious task! I imagine, culturally, the differences are astronomical." She tilted her hat back, bobbed her head. "Yep, that's me. And you're Elisa. And this is Jude," she concluded, grinning playfully.

"Not as bad as you'd think... though I'm a bit worried about some of the ones we still have to get a hold of," Elisa admits.

Silly temporal mechanics of the Nexus...

"Pleasure, kiddo."

"Ah, yeah. Have any anthropologists published works on the different clans?" That would be quite the compelling subject! "Why're you worried?"

Beep-beep-clank. "He says likewise."

"Apparently becoming the female Jack Harkness. Sort of. Kind of? It's...complicated."

"Oh?" A concerned frown. "In all the good ways, I hope?"

Jude clicked and headtilted, and Victor leaned over. "I'll explain it when you're older."

Jess snickers and smiles. That smile that should get her smacked for being a pervert in front of a CHILD. "I'd say so."

She laughed, hugged the kid. "Would I think it's good?"
