Danny walks through one of the portals. He wasn't expecting to get here, but shows no surprise, as there is none. This is the third time in three days that he's found himself here. He'd met Tess on one occasion, paid a visit to the
bank, and now this.
He's arrived with a literal armful of lillies, so large he had difficulty getting thumb and forefinger around the bouquet. He was going to visit Tess. He knew she would be at home, because Linus had told him so. Only problem being that when he closed the front door, he'd appeared here, which if he was honest, wasn't really the plan.
Danny looked up at the sign, all good-humoured menace and wilful playfulness casting a smirk across his wisened, graying but nonetheless chiselled features.
"Do I really have to ask a question? Really, I'm very busy, I have a casino, or three, to rob, a bank to case, flowers to deliver," Danny waved the bouquet in no particular direction, "and a best friend to find."
Danny paused for a second. "Oh, I know. Has anybody seen Rusty?"
