For that boomkin, random normals at 85 don't throw you in Throne of the Tides, you have to specifically queue for it.
For the guildie thing...I miss being in a raid guild with that attitude. There's a much bigger sense of accomplishment that comes with killing a particularly hard boss with a group of friends, as opposed to a random pug.
Also, the skimpy clothes thing? A friend in-game has been selling warbear woolies on the AH. Best thing ever for all your male-skimpy-clothes needs.
Specific queuing... Well, I figured from the start he was a Troll in Tauren's clothing. At least he proved to be the amusing sort in this instance. I'd be raging loudly and at length if he'd caused problems with his Panzerkin impulses.
Warbear Woolies...I foresee at least one BE Rogue wearing those in the future. And possibly a Tauren Druid. *makes notes* Thanks for mentioning those. Alas, I still have yet to find a plate set that's properly skimpy on male toons. They look perfect on female models, but on my boys...far too much flesh is covered.
I should remember to log my druid out in her Pcp gear...it's my attempt to look somewhat rogue-ish and not get face stomped quite so quickly in arena/bg. It uses warbear woolies, sandals, and a quest reward chest from burning steppes.
Wait, what happens to Koltira in Western Plaguelands?! I've only ever levelled Alliance. I should get busy and level my horde lock, there are several zones where I'd like to see the horde-side of things. (Like TwiHi!)
The Andorhal questline is worth seeing! In fact, the entire Forsaken leveling experience, from level one TO Western Plaguelands, is worth seeing because it is amazing. :D Poor Koltira, but amazing nonetheless.
Doing the quests on both sides of the faction divide is well worth it. Despite the "OMG NOOOOOOO!!!!!" moments I've encountered, it's a lot of fun to see both sides of the content.
The intro-quests for Twilight Highlands are vastly different between Horde and Alliance. Vastly. Horde has a lot more story to it.
Questing on one faction only means you miss out on half the story. And that alone is reason enough for the truly lore-obsessed to play both sides.
Felknight beat me to the "must queue specific" thing. I wonder why people do that if they're not queueing to help out a guildie. I mean, to carry people? For kicks? It's sorta weird. I guess if they wanna BS tank I'd let them, but uhm...yeah.
I do it sometimes on my warrior when I want to tank, because I haven't really warrior tanked since my guild cleared the first version of Zul'Aman for progression. :\ So I'm a little rusty and the easy mobs are much appreciated. I don't know why the moonkin did that, though. Weird. Just for fun, I guess.
I'm almost afraid to do Western Plaguelands. I've done it Horde-side, and what happens to Koltira...shock and horror. I refuse to do that zone again on my Horde alts. But Alliance...I don't know what to expect, and I'm almost afraid to find out.
I won't spoil the quest specifics for you, but I will warn you: after you finish the Andorhal questline Alliance-side, you lose the Andorhal flight path. If you want to keep that flight node, don't complete the quest.
