How cruel football is.....

Hey girls,

As always, I'm going to start the entry with an apology for not being around much. Ah well, I've already accepted the title of 'Worst LJ friend', might as well live up to it! :-) We had to submit our project report in college, and so for the past week or so, I've been running around the whole day trying to get it finished, formatted, ( Read more... )

Oh, Neha :( I do understand. For me it was just a bit the other way around: first I was gutted, and the thought of getting into the final cheered me up. Of course, it's not just a personal loss for Fletch to be out of the final. He plays that sweeper role really well (and who do we really have to do it now, as well as he or Owen could do it?) and especially if we're to go against Barca it could prove vital...

No two ways about it, United. You need to get into the final next year too. At least this year, Ji will get to play, there's no way he can be excluded like last year.

I know, I'm so terribly worried about that too. Fletch would have been my first name on the team sheet, especially since we're playing Barca. We don't really have anyone else who can hustle around like him, especially since Owen's not available. He's going to be sorely missed. :(

Agreed, Fletch must get his chance, if not this year, next year at least. And we need to wear T-shirts that say "For you Fletch" or something, just to let him know how important he is. Love you, Dazza.

I hope Sir Alex keeps his word, Ji deserves to be on that team sheet, especially since we'll be playing against Messi.

How have you been? It's been ages since we talked! Did your exam go well?

Fletch was all over the place yesterday, terrific. I was so gutted for him, still am. The look on his face while he walked off just summed it all up really. :( I know lots of United supporters dont really rate him, but he's come such a long way.

His face still haunts me. Every time I feel excited about the final, I see it in front of my eyes. So much of heart break there. I just want to fly to Manchester and hug him tight. God, I really am stupid!

Those who don't rate him must be blind. He's my second favorite player, I think he's absolutely awesome. Without him, we would not be in the postition we are right now.

I couldn't be really happy yesterday night either. It just sucks so bad. And for him to be sent off for exactly the thing that should get him a sure place in the final - popping up where we need him and coming up with a brilliant piece of defending.

The rules are just silly. And I don't care if this happened to a lot of players. I just want Fletch to play in the final. Good Good. Poor Fletch...

P.S.: Hi. ;D

I know, how ironical was it? That challenge was so typically Darren Fletcher, selfless to the extreme, the ultimate team player. He could have let Fabregas go, we were already 3 up, but no, that's just not in his psyche. And it's this attitude that makes him one of my favorites.

I keep hoping and hoping that someone will pull out a rabbit from the bag and find some loophole that allows him to play. We need him against Barca, no one else can do the job as well as he does.

Hi to you too! How have you been? Have you started working at your new job? Sorry, I haven't really been keeping up with any of my flist entries.

He's absolutely one of my favourites, too.

Yeah, me, too. I refuse to believe that this much fuckity can happen. And yup, we do need him against Barca, to kill of their midfield. Between him and Michael. Gah. I mean, we'll work around his absence if we need to but we just should not need to. *grumbles and sulks*

Good. But crazy busy. Started the job on April 1st and things are incredibly hectic at the publishing house right now. Or at least for me as stuff keeps piling up on me. And then I should be writing an article but yes. My deal with myself is to buy myself a netbook. In the hopes of maybe getting something done while in the park or in a café.
And how are you?
