Cristiano certainly gets my protective side rear its head. It's unbeliavable the amount of fouls he goes through sometimes. And I'd just like to kick the offenders right back. I don't think he could change his style of play that much though. It's just such a big part of him, it's who he is as a player and he's been doing mad dribbles ever since he took part in some tiny junior matches. Plus the tricks and the connection between his feet and a ball is clearly what makes him enjoy football so much. If he was to change his play, the joy would go out of him. That said, I think he said it more to draw more attention to the bad refereeing than anything else. He's a brave lad. Plus Wazza will kick anyone who hurts him too badly.
Oh yeah and Cris is never awarded a penalty. He's given gazillions of free kicks but when there's a foul inside the box, nooooo it's not a penalty...

Edwin apparently had a groin injury :/ And Louis' injured again too :P

I hope you're right. But it is really uncharacteristic of him. I think the Eduardo injury really affected him. I don't blame him, even I thought about Cris first, when I saw that horrific injury, and prayed that it never ever happens to anyone else, and especially not Cris. And yes, Wazza would probably murder anyone who dares to hurt his Cris. Remember that game where he absolutely launched himself at the player who had fouled Cris? That was so cute!

But Wazza made a really bad challenge yesterday too. :( The commentators were saying he should have been sent off. I hope he never does it again, we won't have any room for complaints if our own players do the same.

Oh. My. God. I actually screamed when I read that Barnsley kicked Chelsea out. Like really screamed. I so very much hope, my neighbours are not left wondering right now... *cough

Oh dear, that had me stitches. Thank you for putting a smile on my face, I really needed it. Yeah, I felt like screaming too! Barnsley are so awesome! I hope they go on to win the damn thing.

Rio did so great and Vida and Wes protecting him with all they had.
That was brilliant wasn't it? Yeah, even before the penalty was taken, Vida was so protective about him, and Wayne was coming and giving him advice too. Our team is just awesome! It made me want to go and hug them all. And Rio almost, almost saved it. He guessed correctly, but wasn't quick enough. Imagine if he had, I would have screamed myself hoarse!

Days like these I realise that the days when it was all about Cristiano for me are over. Oh that is so true for me too! I mean, I can't even recall the last time I watched a game just for the sake of seeing Cristiano play. You know, I heard from someone who had gone to the match that Wazza actually took his shirt off and was demanding the keeper's jersey. Apparently, he used to play as keeper when he was young. But Fergie yelled at him to give it to Rio. I wonder if Wayne might have had the required training to have saved it? But I really can't imagine him as a keeper, it must have been when he was really young!
Yeah, Rio probably does blame himself, it was written all over his face when the shot went in. Poor baby, he had a great game up until then.

Oh yeah, that was brilliant. I heard that he was so foul-mouthed that they didn't dare show it! Hah, I'm so glad he told the reporter exactly what he thought. But he's always believed in speaking his mind, hasn't he? I'm glad he spoke his mind about the FA too, even though most people are calling him a sore loser. Maybe now they'll actually sit up and take notice.
