Someone else on my flist was a huge fan of that Robin Hood for a while, and she shipped Guy/Marian hard. I've still never seen it, but I've read or watched quite a few versions of Robin Hood in my day, and I can't quite wrap my mind around Guy/Marian. Being endeared of Guy's Epic Angst (TM) sounds very similar to most of Hannah's entries while she was watching this show, though. :P

Hee. I can't speak for everyone, but I suspect that a lot of the appeal of Guy/Marian and Guy's Epic Angst stems from Richard Armitage's portrayal. He couldn't play a one-dimensional character if he tried, that man. And, you know, he's not bad looking, even villained up with bad hair and a constant five o'clock shadow...

Robin in this version has tendency towards acting self-absorbed and treating friends badly in times of stress, which may just contribute as well. :p

(ALSO: INCEPTION ICON! I love that line :D)
