I broke up with Chad...a relationship of a year. He was like my best friend and although I loved him I had to get out of it. I realized that he wasn't right for me and that I could no longer be with someone who just used me and had no ambition of his own. My b-day was lots of fun...got to spend it with close friends, but sadly not all of them (trust me i missed you.) We went to a hot air balloon festival, got all sweaty, and enjoyed some watermelon sorbet, it was a good day.

My Birthday is tomorrow...I will no longer be a teenager, yay :)

Went to Zydeco's on Bourbon and listened to a great lineup of (i think the term is hardcore?) bands. Have to say I was surprised though...i'm no party girl and like mellow music but this was an interesting digression.

Well things have changed drastically since last post. I now work at the Ra Shop of Hammond "A smoker's gallery" type thing and the people kick ass but the 10 hrs. a week doesn't. I got a nice little 3 BR home in the Hamm and am falling for my bit-older flatmate. He feels the same and it is a fairy tale...for now.

I have a routine at Goodwill. I check the records and CDs. I owe my awareness and love of Radiohead to those pitiful stacks. The next stop, the book section, is where I spend most of my visit. I'm not looking for a great read, but look for books with hand-written notes, or my ultimate desire: a used journal. I know that it is extremely unlikely ( Read more... )

Well, last night I walked out/quit my job of 1 and 1/2 years. It was my first job, and although it sucked I was comfortable there, now I am scared about my money situation, but filled with optimism. Wish me luck, please.

How can someone be a poser? If one assume certain charateristics assigned to a certain persona...then how does one distinguish the real from the false? Can't "poser" just be seen loosely as that person's version/interpretation of?
