Character Name: This should be their common name first, then add on any nicknames, titles, or extra things if you want
Character's Series: This should be as listed on Wikipedia. If there is no Wikipedia for this series, you must either summarize the series or provide links to where an English version of this series can be found.
Codename: This is an in-game thing! Please go to our list of birds, and pick a bird to represent your character. This is their “codename”. While it doesn't have to, associating a bird that matches your character's personality or powers is always more fun.
Guilty/Innocent: Related to the arrival premise, did your character actually commit a crime to come to Deadman Wonderland, or were they wrongfully convicted? If they are guilty, then what crime did they commit?
Medium Used: Do you use the manga/anime? Television series? Visual novel? Because multiple forms of a canon can exist, we need to know which you pull from. You should also include what point in canon they're coming from.
Biography: What was your character doing before they were incarcerated? Were they traveling the lands in search of lighthouses or sitting around drinking beer? This should be a history of your character, and can include headcanon to fill in the gaps that canon tends to leave out. We ask that you note this, though!
Powers/Abilities: Does your character have any special powers or abilities? Explain them here. Any weaknesses (like Kryptonite for Superman) should go here too.
Personality: What kind of person is this character? This should be the longest section of the application and showcase your knowledge of the character. It should showcase your knowledge of how the character thinks and why they are how they are. If they have any quirks, odd speaking habits, or mannerisms due to their tragic! past, those kinds of things go here as well.]
Writing Samples:
Please write at least 300 words describing your character doing something in third-person, like you're starting a log. Since these can be hard to come up with, here are some suggestions for writing topics (These are just suggestions, though! Feel free to write about something else):
- Waking up in an unknown place.
- Noticing an attacker sneaking up on them.
- Getting ready to ask out the person they like.
- Beating their rival in a competition.
Please answer at least three of the following questions as if they were given to your character to fill out on a form. Remember though, these questions are meant to give us an idea of voice. Answer as many as you want, but three is the minimum.
