[Signum's in bad shape in the hospital wing. Artificial human or not, taking a beam like that through the chest is no one's idea of a picnic. Agito missed the worst of it, but she is likewise recuperating in a small makeshift bed on Signum's nightstand. They're both stable, but it's going to take a long while for her to recover ( Read more... )

[Meanwhile, one of her roommates isn't looking that hot either, and neither is his Haro-form partner. He's got some pretty bad gashes all over his body, and his left arm is suspiciously void of color.]

I wouldn't complain though... it might've been the difference between victory and the grave.

That's true. I suppose he just did what I would have done in the same situation...I can't really blame a sword for blowing itself up when I used myself as a shield.

But now what am I supposed to do if the other two come back?

I think the Vaisaga still has no official pilot

LET-ME-SEEEEE-----!

*incoming, from another infirmary, is a bandaged Adeu. He covered around some of the legs and torso, forehead too, but somehow is still exuberant. He appears at the door, "SigNUUUUM!"

[Okay, that's kind of cute. Still rather loud.]

Hello Adeu. Shouldn't you be resting too?

Ow-OW!

W-W-W-well, I'll get better soon. But those guys might come back!

I'm well aware, which is why I'm doing my best to sit still and heal until they do.

Then, I'll get up and most likely break something to fight.

Captain Signum!

I heard terrible things happened on the mission. I'm so glad you are alive.

There were rumors Laevanteinn got destroyed. It.. is not true, is it?

Do you see Laevatein anywhere?

[Is Signum pouting?]

It could be under repair right now...

I see. I'm sorry.

He's been around as long as I have. It's a bit...well, it's exactly like losing an arm.

[Simon headed over to Signum's bed in the infirmary as soon as he heard that she was awake.]

You gonna be all right?

If I'm breathing, Simon, I'll be alright in the end...

Hey, no such thing as too sure, right?

Any idea how long you're gonna be here?

As shortly as possible. There's still more Silentium left to fight, and I don't intend to be bedridden through all of it.

...though if there wasn't pressing business they told me I'd be out of here in about a month.

And some time when no one else is visiting/awake, Lamia is at the hospital wing with a 'get well' package.

It is clear, however, that she did not know what exactly a package should entail. Included in the (rather spartanly wrapped) package are: food items superior to the usual infirmary fares, snacks, books of several genres, vids, an anti-tank sniper rifle with additional magazines, two machine pistols, an electric whip, a basic piloting manual.

...

[Signum looks contentedly over the package and considers whether to start reading or assembling the rifle first.]

Lamia is back again, this time while Signum is awake and looking over the package.

"The whip should be handled with caution, it is able to generation approximately a hundred thousand volts for a short period of time."

Meant for disabling machines rather than people, hm? I'll keep that in mind.
