[Signum's in bad shape in the hospital wing. Artificial human or not, taking a beam like that through the chest is no one's idea of a picnic. Agito missed the worst of it, but she is likewise recuperating in a small makeshift bed on Signum's nightstand. They're both stable, but it's going to take a long while for her to recover

I wouldn't complain though... it might've been the difference between victory and the grave.

That's true. I suppose he just did what I would have done in the same situation...I can't really blame a sword for blowing itself up when I used myself as a shield.

But now what am I supposed to do if the other two come back?

Laevatein as he existed...well, I don't have any of the original Device left. The sword is scrap metal, and I have no idea what happened to the scabbard after I was knocked out.

The TSAB was tossing around ideas about nonmagical, or rather, magic-assisted weapons based on taking Belkan design principles to the extreme. Perhaps I should volunteer to test a prototype.
