Splash & Fun outside of San Gwann
Characters fall into three separate areas across a popular water park just east of a forbidden zone.
The first area characters may arrive is into an indoor standing pool enclosed by a caged glass pavilion. The pavilion is provided with a concessions stand, a pool-side bar, and an abandoned band set on stage.

In a tunnel? This wasn't right at all. The smell was vile and the pipes around her dripped strangely colored water.]
Where... where am I?

Only a moment, though, and then Mello was slowly rolling to push himself up onto his hands and knees, nose burning, eyes streaming. Pain lanced up his spine, and he groaned, biting his lip to muffle the sound. A few panting breaths later, and he was able to force his eyes open.
He wasn’t surprised to see drying blood under his hands. He was familiar with the smell of rotting flesh -- lamentably so -- but never in such.. magnitude. Mello lifted his head slowly, then gagged as his stomach rolled in response to the mess that greeted him. At the first sign of movement, his gun was in his hand, and he struggled to level it at the figure, squinting.]
Who are you.

But she recognised the bodies around them, these weren't people, it was them.]
I- I'm not one of them! Actually, I can't even fire a gun! Please, don't shoot me!

What do you mean, them?

Hey! What's the big idea?

One minute he'd secured a perfect roost for scoping things out, the next some guys comes flying into the pool--one swinging a bat. He had to be close to Baba Yaga's, at least.]
What a weird entrance.
Hey! Who're you guys with? You sure don't look like Shibusen. Locals?

Why can't he Jump?
Griffin stands there for a minute, trying to teleport back home. Nothing. He turns to the new guy and he does not look happy. Griffin swings the bat by his side.]
Don't tell me you guys wear masks now. I thought you lot couldn't get any more retarded.
[And if anyone qualifies as the superheros in the Jumpers vs. Paladins war, since Griffin thinks this guy is an enemy, it's obviously the Jumpers. But Griffin lacks the time to think about that analogy, since someone else approaches. He positions himself so he can look at both of them.]
I'm not with this git. Not with anyone. Who the hell are you and what the hell just happened?

Wherever here is. No place he's seen before.
Regardless, there's life. There's someone walking around in the building behind him; he can hear them. Sense them, almost. Even without his viral strength he's still hyperalert.
But he doesn't make any move to acknowledge it. Not yet. Figure out what it is, react accordingly. Don't give yourself away to something that might be a threat.]

So he grips his sword more tightly, swinging around the corner and pointing it at the man standing there.]
Who are you?

Alex glances up from near the ground. This person... this human. They appear young. Teenage. Doesn't quell his suspicion. When he speaks, it's low, almost threatening.]
You first.

[Sora gasps, inhaling one great big lungful of horrible putridity before stumbling backwards and hitting a wall greasy with blood and god knows what. He shivers and wipes his hands on his pants before pinching his nose to block out the stench.]
[It takes him a moment to notice the man bending over one of them, sure that his flailing had probably caught his attention by now.] A-Ah! Hey, you!

Hey, what are you doing here? [He quizzes the man while skipping over arms and legs and trying not to trip. It doesn't occur to him that the man was responsible for all the corpses piled up here. These things had obviously been here a while and if the man was, well, he'd already be joining them by now, right?]
Do you know what happened? And where is this place, anyway?

to dwell on the matter is to waste. for, as you know, time is the only commodity that money will never buy and of which man will never have enough. to fret is to expend; to fear is to distract.
the first concern is always "where." thus:
we find ourselves in a technologically advanced ( refinedly wasteful use of electricity through lighting ), manmade, recently-abandoned ( machinery: still operational despite lack of current upkeep ) establishment sealed underground ( non-existent air current ) for the purpose of water process ( with the sound of running water through piping ). also the site of animalistic, grisly death ( artlessly splattered blood ) and decomposition ( with the pungent smell of rot ). ]
[ he mutters: ] What a lovely tomb.
[ revolver in hand, holmes makes his way along the tunnels, following the sound of the water. however, he pauses--a pool of thick liquid thinning out across the flooring ( ... )

But... it's not really uninhabited.
Not yet, anyway.
Hearing footsteps ahead and a man's voice, Alex freezes momentarily. He steels himself for confrontation before following the sounds, being fairly quiet as he does.]

he sets down the revolver ( quiet breathing, most likely not belonging to that of-- ), taking the time to take a vial out of his pocket. with a loud pop ( --the supposed attacker-- ), he uncorks the vial and scoops up some of the liquid ( --which is far too rabid to lie in wait-- ), as the tinkling of glass echoes throughout the chamber ( --judging from the haphazard streaks of blood and irregular footsteps-- ). after a few minutes, he pockets the vial ( --that lead up to this pool ). his immersion in his work is uncanny.
with that, he stands up and brushes off his coat. he is about to leave, when he realizes that he has left his gun on the floor. ]
--ah.
[ he bends down to pick it up, and as he does so, accidentally ( lure the creature out with sound or further inquire into the reasoning to hide ) shoots the ground. he jumps back a bit and drops the gun again. ]

He starts unintentionally as the gun goes off, condensed and echoing in the cylinder around them. But nothing more; now he's just staring. Whoever this is, they don't look terribly threatening, but he's still wary. Perhaps he's one of the scientists.
Alex takes a step forward. If the guy decides to shoot, he should be able to take it. He speaks up to catch his attention.]
Hey.
