It seems unlikely to me that it's actually them, especially since some of what they say looks like it could have been lifted directly from the example letter aang_aint_white put together.

That, and while they obviously pay attention to things the fandom is doing, they've never interacted with it in this way, through such unofficial channels. If they had something to say about the casting, I'm sure EW would've been more than happy to do an interview with them.

Y'know, though, that whole "there is no Caucasian nation" line sounds so familiar...maybe it was lifted from an interview somewhere? Or a panel Q&A?

I loved how they weren't afraid to show the spanish as not good, though the pasty white Olmecs was problematic for me. Still, a great cartoon with characters of color!
