[L's pokegear flickers on. Judging from the height and position, it is on a bookshelf in a room at a well-furnished and comfortable-looking inn. A television is well within view of the camera feed, and the room is empty save for L's Haunter Slightly

He simply ... smiles at the rest of the conversation. ]
Ah, none of those, I am afraid. I would much rather pass peacefully in my sleep at a ripe, old age than undergo any of those unpleasant alternatives. Though, given only those choices, I suppose I would prefer drowning.
I doubt I myself would ever resort to any form of suicide. It's a rather cowardly way to escape one's life.

[This seems to be something that L fixates a bit on.]
It's a very difficult way to go, isn't it?

[ Mmhmm, L, do you have some issues you want to talk to Dr. Lecter about? He'll listen~ ]
Which would you choose, Mr. Ryuzaki, of those choices you had given me?

Hannibal simply raises an eye at that. ] Have you had such experience with individuals like that? I must admit-- I have merely heard of such things occurring. Nobody I've met has ever ... done such a thing. As far as I'm aware, of course. [ L, do you have something you want to talk about? ]
Perhaps we are, though I believe you took it ... a little far, with your comment before.

It's certainly not difficult to imagine. I mean, if you're a psychiatrist, you must know something about paraphilias.

But... yeah. He'll just ignore that comment for now lolol ]
It certainly isn't, as I have spoken with necrophiliacs and it certainly cannot be any different from that, but it seems unlikely for somebody to be turned on by such ... things to have passed the psychological test to become a member of the police force. [ Psychiatrists, on the other hand-- ]

Really, it's the opposite. The desire to accept unconditionally, perhaps, the desire to give everything provided the killer is strong enough to take it.
It's what I would think of someone willing to allow themselves to be murdered, at least.
You have a lot of faith in the system, and that surprises me.

It would do no good not to trust the system. It proves itself useful on occasion, and while I do not blindly put my faith into it, there are some things I believe will stay constant. Corruption is one of them; as is the lack of 'dangerous' mental disorders in officers of the law.
