the conclusion we all came to was that the vast majority of the student body is either apathetic, lazy, or disheartened that they can actually change anything and the only group on campus that actually gives a shit at all is SDS, and they're basically an exclusive clique that talks a lot but actually does very little
sadly, we all pretty much resigned to the fact that if we were to organize a protest on campus, even for something that students actually care about (like how our already outrageous tuition goes higher every year yet many of our facilities are still shitty and outdated) we'd be lucky to get 15 people to show up
and none of us could pinpoint why protests of all kinds are common at most colleges, yet completely absent at Pratt
but as disheartening as the discussion was, it was actually great to even be able to talk about it - because usually people just avoid the topic for fear of being brushed off as idealistic or
