Well, it could be worse, I suppose.

Beside the whole 'not taking them off' part, I'm wondering if there's anyone who doesn't mind their costumes?

[Guess who is also in costume, Luceti?

Later on, Kouki will be out and about outside, looking around curiously at the change in scenery. Sometimes, he would pause to give people a second glance at their ( Read more... )

I suppose it is to be expected that I do not mind my "costume", given I cannot see it.

[Then again, she doesn't see any of them and only learned by word of mouth that anything had changed in Luceti.]

Although, these high-heeled shoes do make walking rather difficult.

Yeah, it's not a happy subject to talk about.

So do you have much experience with Halloween? [Subject change get?]

I have heard such a term in my previous world in passing only, but I'm afraid I know very little about the culture and traditions surrounding it. From what I have gathered, it involves costumes and sweet foods?

It got its roots in pagan history, but these days, people likes to dress up in costumes and have fun in scaring each other. Children can go trick or treating for candies.

"Trick or treating"? I am unfamiliar with that phrase.

They go from house to house in their costumes and say 'trick or treat'. The candies are the treats.

Such a strange custom, although I'm certain it isn't seen as out of the ordinary in worlds where it is common.

Though I am curious. If the candy is the treat, what exactly is the "trick"?

Generally, the tricks are harmless scares, like appearing suddenly in a scary costume or pranks.

...and the offering of treats is meant to circumvent the possibility of tricks? [A holiday based on bribery? Humans are so strange!]

If I remember right, there's something about dead spirits walking among us on that day, so the treats are offerings, too.

Spirits? I can't say I've ever seen such a thing in my previous world. Then again, I did not choose to go very near the human cities. Especially during times they considered to be holidays.

So you don't know if they exists...

[He wouldn't be surprised to know if they exists back home. Fused up a couple of them before, too.]

I'm sure it's very possible they exist in other worlds. However, in my experience I have never seen such a thing as a soul existing indefinitely without a body.
