Congratulations on getting the instructor job! I enjoyed your class so much at retreat so I know first hand you are a terrific instructor.
I really enjoyed this week's SGA. I didn't have a feeling for where events were leading and it kept me anxious througout the episode. Rodney's line "Now I get picked first" totally cracked me up. Teyla's encounter with the Queen was very creepy. I also discovered that I have finally warmed to her character without even realizing it. I don't think it is a sentimental thing because she is pregnant, rather, her current situation has caused me to actually notice that I have gained both interest and sentiment with regard to Teyla. I also think they are doing a better job this season of inserting intimate character moments that are appropriate to the story line such as the scene between Teyla and the other guy. (Why can't I ever remember his name. Oh yeah, because, maybe, I'm bad with names).
I enjoyed it too, although the last parts with Teyla were hitting a little too close to home for me. But it turned out well in the end, so it was ok.
And I liked the scene with Rodney almost becoming Wraith food, too. I especially liked that Sheppard actually looked scared. It seems like the Wraith are suffering from a fast descent into wimphood. I thought they were terribly scary at first, and now our heroes can just casually shoot them any time, it seems. So I was glad to see they some terror (not from Ronon, though -- he would never show fear).
And I agree with your Teyla comments. She's been a neat character with nothing to do, it seems, and now she has some issues to deal with. I do wish they'd get some women writers on the show, though.
