I read 56 books in 2014, which is not quite up to my 2011 and 2012 totals (63, 59), but much better than last year (29).   Some highlights:

• Finished the Leandros series by Rob Thurman.  An urban fantasy series with lots of bromance, humor, and violence.  Is she writing more?  Nothing on the website.

Crossfit at the new box tonight.  First up was, get the heaviest overhead squat you could.  I am so bad at OH squats - that's what I was doing when I dropped the barbell on my head a while back.  My PR (personal record) was 50#, and that was 18 months ago, before I took my long break.  So I started at 35#, and got that ok, and added 5# plates on ( Read more... )

1. Favourite childhood book?
Childhood is such a big swath of life - how do you pick just one?  I loved Go, Dog! Go in pre-reading days...The Black Stallion books,  Harriet the Spy, I'm sure there's tons I'm leaving out.
