You chose the heroes you control. They speak with your voices. They have become, here, your instruments of self-expression. But why, specifically, these people? Why Connor Hawke? Why Jason Todd?

Band_Dick had been with me for a while now and I'm use to hearing his voice voice when I write.

Music and heroism... where do they meet, for you?

one is a replacement for the other. Dick gave up the life of a hero to honour Bruce's final wish. Becoming a musician was a way for him to keep his family together and give them purpose after Bruce's death. It turned out to be something they're quite good at.

It's coming to light at the moment however, that this new life isn't fulfilling the needs of all members of the band - physically or emotionally.

A band of heroes, as it were... one wonders whether this phrasing can be considered coincidental.

This particular muse was incredibly pushy about being created. He has his own playlist, for god's sake! None of my others do.

Basically, I took Jason Todd, broke him thoroughly, and built him back up. Because Jason Todd is one of my favorite characters. I am always unspeakably cruel to my favorites.

Jason Todd is already a broken man. Would you presume to do better by him than those who consider him family?

I see. I'm beginning to understand why this nexus of worlds sees so many incarnations of Jason Todd. The man certainly has a way of making his way into the minds of dreamers. Why do you suppose this is?

He's a snarky, angsty badass with issues who's probably more than a little crazy and definitely very traumatized. It endears him to a lot of people, myself included.
