Kon knows that his VR program is created from the genetic memories of his DNA donors. So he assumes the gorgeous dark-haired kid named Tim who shows up there is also someone from his donor's old life. There's no reason to connect his increasingly...intimate...VR experiences to that Red Robin character he's been sent to stop, right?

I was just warming up to write this and the warm-up took a life of its own!! ^^; Thing is, it doesn't stick to the prompt enough to be an actual fill and plus it's a songfic. So I'll definitely write you the real deal, but I thought you might enjoy reading the warm-up anyway so here's the link:

A/N: Sorry this is so late! And short… I just forgot about it and remembered today since I was trying to finish my other fill before leaving for the holidays… Hopefully this is satisfactory even though it’s shorter than the “warm up” I posted earlier. Over the Moon serves as a prequel now but it’s not a mandatory read to understand this fill. The ending of this is yelling for a sequel but… maybe when I come back ( ... )

Ooooh, nice! I like how the setting has developed with the comic book, and that sense of slowly-evolving freedom and self-awareness. I confess I'm dying to find out what "his consciousness is everywhere in his body" will mean for future Tim/Kon porn, lol, and you write it very evocatively! Oh, and I like the way he's confused about how his personality and preferences could be simply genetic like that--the science kind of drives me crazy about the title, but at a certain level you have to just run with it and have fun, I think.
