The rest of the room remained as it had been the previous evening, though: candles on every odd surface, incense still burning within a makeshift wooden shrine, three columns carved and one a work in progress. He fixed the furniture so it did not appear so relaxed - including making both of their beds - and then lit one solitary candle on the bedside, already at the end of its lifetime, and waited. He was already determined to relax, and wore his meditation robe over his undergarments to force it, and it was heavy and warm and comforting.
Until he heard the chime and his blood ran cold.
Spock approached the door cautiously, took a breath, and then pressed the control to open it. "...Leonard."

It made Leonard smile to see him like this, except - Spock's face gave some hint as to the turmoil that must have been brewing underneath. He stood in Spock's living area, not sure if he should sit. "How are you?" he asked, a stupid question, but one that needed to be asked.

He had heard of Leonard's injuries, and the time he had given Leonard for his recovery doubled as breathing room in his own meditation. Now he had to see if any of it had been effective.

"The other Spock," Leonard couldn't help but chuckle a little at the memory of that other man with the long hair and even more serious expression - "well, I guess he eventually just felt sorry for me. Wanted to make sure I didn't get into too much danger."
