Jack had come by her home earlier that day to record her answer. As a wealthy socialite who had moved to St. Roch but returned a few years later, her opinion was requested. Ryder hadn't asked for her about her father's rumored ties to the underworld, or her rumored ineptitude and taking the family business over, and for that, Kathy was glad. She had allowed Jack to come into her living room, where she let the cameras set up before sitting on her couch and giving her answer.

"Why Gotham?" She smiles. "Just what's wrong with Gotham? I mean, sure, the city's got crime... but what city doesn't? Metropolis might have Superman, but you'll notice it's got just as many villains that can go toe to toe with him." She shrugs. "Besides, this is where I grew up ( ... )

Scarecrow hadn't been in Arkham in two years. Not since before he was nearly killed by Romy Chandler, and gained a yellow ring while he was in recovery. But he was interviewed once by Ryder, some time ago, and one clip was appropriate for Ryder's new episode. It's a short clip, as it was difficult to keep Crane on-topic, to keep him from attempting to get into the psychology of the reporter or his crew.

"So why don't I leave Gotham?" Crane shakes his head. "I refuse to be driven out of the city by a madman dressed as a bat. I want to know what makes fear work in the human brain, for the sake of science. I refuse to allow fear of progress to stand in the way of the progress of fear."
