The palace stronghold that was built by Asim Muhunnnad, the former dictator of Kahndaq, was build on the blood of his people, and was a focus of fear for the citizens of Kahndaq, especially in the capital city of Shiruta.

The Martian looks with shock as Superman takes the lightning bolt that was intended for him, and what happens afterwards.

When Black Adam follows in, he's not happy.

J'onn charges full blast at Black Adam. He's not AS strong as Superman, but he's damn close. H'ronmeer Q'pail! he shouts as he smacks hard into the ruler of Kahndaq.

Adam returns in kind, not a hint of emotion on his face. Which tells J'onn that there's definitely something not right here.

He might even see a tint of...regret? frustration?...in Adam's eyes.

But it disappears as Adam brings blow after blow, fueled by the strength of Amon, onto the Martian.
