Cassie finally sighed as she sent in the paperwork. She'd crunched the number, looked at all her options, checked through the Financial Aid package, and scholarship offers, and finally come to her decision. It would kill her to move so far away from her mom and Kon, but at least she'd be closer to Donna and Tim. So sweet with the bitter

Tim got the text, started at it, and scowled. Not that he wasn't glad Cassie was coming to the East Coast, but... seriously. A text message?

He gave it a minute, and then dialed her number.

Tim beat everyone to getting a hold of her first. Tim would be easy, she hoped? She did hope that a lot.

"A text message, Cassie?" Why yes, that is the thing that irks him the most. He's all for having one of his best friends close-by, but... seriously...

"It seemed more personal than an email, and I wanted to tell you all at once," Cassie chewed her lower lip.

Cassie took a deep breath before pressing the power button.

"Yeah, it's the one with enough scholarships and aid that I won't be a burden on Mom, that was also close to friends."

"It does! It's not the best history department in the world but it's offering me a full ride contingent on me keeping up my GPA and I have enough in the way of aid and scholarships that I should be able to manage books, and board if I can get somewhere cheap," Cassie said. "I hate that I'm moving so far from Mom and you..."

There's a knock at Cassie's door.

Bart was never one for texting. He melted too many keypads, the way he typed.

And that's what she figured, for Bart. "Hey, c'mon in."

Bart opened the door and stepped in, hugging her immediately. "So are you already approved already or do you still have to wait on the paperwork? I'm going to miss seeing you around me and Kon's place so much..."

Cassie returned the hug with a grin. "Yes, I just sent in the last of the paperwork I needed to fill out. I was going to be around less anyway Bart. College takes a lot of time...for people who can't speed through things."

I was counting on that. And so long as my courses aren't too heavy, you have a willing and able babysitter. Oh Donna, I'm nervous and excited, and I hope I like it. Which him? Boyfriend him, yes, Him I'm asking hte right way to do it. She didn't mind telling Donna how nervous she really was. She couldn't really confess that to her boys.

Cassie waved to Bart as she picked up the text from Greta. Sure! C'mon over!

Greta literally explodes into the hallway outside of Cassie's room in gaseous form, coalescing instantly. A quick check that her clothes are intact(really embarrassing to show up without your pants on), and Greta knocks on the door.
