Cassie finally sighed as she sent in the paperwork. She'd crunched the number, looked at all her options, checked through the Financial Aid package, and scholarship offers, and finally come to her decision. It would kill her to move so far away from her mom and Kon, but at least she'd be closer to Donna and Tim. So sweet with the bitter

Cassie took a deep breath before pressing the power button.

"Yeah, it's the one with enough scholarships and aid that I won't be a burden on Mom, that was also close to friends."

"It does! It's not the best history department in the world but it's offering me a full ride contingent on me keeping up my GPA and I have enough in the way of aid and scholarships that I should be able to manage books, and board if I can get somewhere cheap," Cassie said. "I hate that I'm moving so far from Mom and you..."

Cassie smiled at him. "Luckily, it's just across ours."

"I'm only going to be across the country," Cassie said, noting the irony a little.

"You'd see me less even if I lived in the next town over Kon. College...is a big thing for me, and I've got to do it right." She already knew he liked having her around.

"We have enough trouble finding teachers as it is, and they are totally undervalued," Cassie reminded Kon. "But yeah, they keep telling me college isn't like highschool."
