An Unexpected Call

Alan was sitting in the main room, the one that had been the Justice Societies main meeting room. It was a large room, with the table that held the JSA's insignia that had been a gift from Carter so many years ago, but for the exception of the original Green Lantern the large circular room was empty

The invite had been rather exciting. Like a new thing. Mary had been happy that so many people had survived the Blackest Night.

Though she was aware people hadn't come back. Many people hadn't. It had been so sad. But there was nothing that could be done to change that.

But here she is right on time. She's a little curious about this. She has no idea what the eldest Green Lantern really wants with her here.

A chimpanzee knucklewalks up to her, nodding his greeting to her.

"Mary Marvel, right?"

She's going to smile again.

"Right. Gosh, I hope I'm not running lat and holding everyone up." She's not very familiar with Bobo but she has heard of him.

"Well, if you're running late, then so am I." He smiles at her, then gestures. "Shall we?"

They're a little late, but better that than never. Travis shows up with Tara and Ch'p, now that they have the living situation a little more sorted out.

"Sorry that took so long."

Ch'p hovers in at about chest height past the couple who are now his roommates (He finds that if he stays on the ground, people, even ones who know better, tend to treat him like a pet. That is not the first impression he wants to make.) He is fond of his new friends already, but he has felt like a bit of a third wheel the last few days and he is glad to be getting out among new people.

He is surprised to see the Chimp. He has heard of the detective, and his presence gives Ch'p even more hope for the meeting.

He settles into a chair next to the others who arrived first.

"I'm Ch'p, Travis' new partner," he says, figuring an introduction is polite since his name wasn't technically on the invitation.

Tara still isn't sure why she's here, or what to make of the chipmunk. It took her awhile to get used to the talking hard-boiled and street-savvy chimpanzee. Mr. Scott called though, and you do not - under any circumstances - ignore Mr. Alan Scott.

She takes a seat by Travis and waits.

The chimp offers Ch'p a nod, and a hand for a handshake. "Detective Chimp," he says.
