They say "Teenagers scare the living $#!^ outta me..."

Bludhaven. A city of crime and darkness. One which, at the moment, is host to a very familiar scene.  A dark alley. A happy family, just out from the movies, using it as a shortcut. A desperate man with a gun, demanding money and jewelry. It was a scene that could make heroes, or villains. However, this would not be that kind of story.

She stands there, blue cloak lightly moving in the wind while watching him with violet eyes. He can feel her empathic senses reaching out for him, probing.

After a moment, Talon looked up with a sly smile, a few of his wickedly sharp birdarangs ready in his hand. It could be noted that emotion was there, but it was controlled and muted into near unreadability.

"Eavesdropping? Not polite." He tilted his head. She looked familiar, but only slightly so. "Generally I don't take to being spied on, but a girl who can rock that outfit gets some liberties. You here to talk, fight, or just enjoying the view?" His smile grew wider.

"If you ain't here to fight or talk, the view is even better up close."

He reminds her of Zachery. Not a bad thing.

"I was seeking a teammate." He isn't it, but he feels so similar to Tim, she needs to stay - gather information. "If you wish me closer, I can come closer." Often, that's the last reaction people want from her; friends often included. Without trying to she can absorb the mood of a room and then channel it away.

"Teammate? Ain't ever been much of a team player, though I'm going through all kinds of changes lately." Talon leaned against the dumpster the terrified mugger had run into earlier.

"As far as you getting closer, can't say I'd complain. Better view for me and I can lower my voice. Always good." He waved a hand in front of him.

"In shot, I suppose I'm at least willing to hear you out. Hotness does have its benefits with me."

Hours later, they have been jumping all over the world, stopping just long enough to allow people to get away from the vile things pursuing them. Talon can tell Raven is exhausting herself at the pace she work from, but he can also feel her drawing from his focused emotions to augment her strength. Finally, after the 12th stop, she sinks under a tree.

"I need a moment. We are not finished."

"Fair enough. You might want to rest." Talon said, the words concerned but the tone of voice matter-of-factual. He looked around, surveying his surroundings.

"So, anyone I might be able to talk into helping out around here? I'd hate to waste the stop..." Even at this pace, his resolve wouldn't waver. As much as he wouldn't see it, there were similarities between himself and his native doppelganger.

"There is much to do, but..." She slows her breathing, concentrating on the movement of air in and out. "Our next stop has someone dangerous. She has potential, however. I must think."

She closes her eyes, gathers her thoughts. "You pace like he does when you are anxious."

Talon stopped, realizing he had been pacing, and eyed her with a slightly annoyed look.

"Yeah, well, we are the same person. Kind of. Bound to have some things in common." He snapped. He forced himself to lean against a tree, though he tapped his foot without realizing it.

"'Cept for the important things, like a well-off family and decent role models and crap." His voice took on a certain venom at the notion.

"Kid got all the breaks, and I got all the broken bones."
