Bludhaven. A city of crime and darkness. One which, at the moment, is host to a very familiar scene. A dark alley. A happy family, just out from the movies, using it as a shortcut. A desperate man with a gun, demanding money and jewelry. It was a scene that could make heroes, or villains. However, this would not be that kind of story.

"Eavesdropping? Not polite." He tilted his head. She looked familiar, but only slightly so. "Generally I don't take to being spied on, but a girl who can rock that outfit gets some liberties. You here to talk, fight, or just enjoying the view?" His smile grew wider.
"If you ain't here to fight or talk, the view is even better up close."

"I was seeking a teammate." He isn't it, but he feels so similar to Tim, she needs to stay - gather information. "If you wish me closer, I can come closer." Often, that's the last reaction people want from her; friends often included. Without trying to she can absorb the mood of a room and then channel it away.

"As far as you getting closer, can't say I'd complain. Better view for me and I can lower my voice. Always good." He waved a hand in front of him.
"In shot, I suppose I'm at least willing to hear you out. Hotness does have its benefits with me."

"There is something coming. Something dark. I sense something connected to it, which should be allowed its rest before it does harm."

"Hey, babe, I find you attractive in the only way that counts for a promising young psychopath like myself." He crossed his arms at her next statement.
"Okay, I'm damn smart, but I'm shit with riddles, lady. How about we start this off proper." He offered a hand. "Name's Talon. As in 'rends the flesh from my prey'. What's your name, and how about you being a little more clear on what's coming?"

"Raven," she looks at the hand before shaking it. "If I had more than a feeling of dread I would be. What I can say is that something disturbed my meditation and it felt dark. Much like a psychopath, only -" She fumbles for the word. "More."

This sounded like fun.
"Alright, so there's something big and bad on the way, and you want help taking it out." He fiddled with his birdarangs as his smirk twitched slightly, a small signal of his anticipation. "I could use a good fight. After watching my back against guys like Ultraman my whole life, these low-level street thugs haven't been providing the best challenge in the world..." His eyes had moved downward, almost as if he was daydreaming the possibilities. He snapped back up to meet Raven's eyes. A thought had suddenly occurred to him.
"What exactly did you mean by 'looking for a teammate'? If you're looking for a guy who looks just like me but with a reverse color scheme, you're talking to the wrong bird. Seriously, no joke. Otherwise, again, I could use the fight."

She puts her cloak on. "This is not a joke. Something dark comes. I need assistance. Wherever you are from, you should understand that Titans do not care about where you have been - only where you care to go." This time, she extends the hand. "I would understand if you did not wish to come."
Reply
"I don't even know what a Titan is, sweetheart. Much less do I give a damn what they think of where I've been or where I'm going." He eyed her, still suspicious, but also seeing a good opportunity.
"I ain't joining a team, at least not permanently. But I ain't backing down from a good fight, either. So I'll help out for now. Might help me get my bearings here."

There's an ominous sound behind them as a body drops from a sickening height. "Hey, kid. Thanks for lunch. I'll get myself dessert."

"Oh... my... freaking... GAWD..." He said, wiping an imaginary tear from his eye as he quickly composed himself. He walked over and kicked the body once. Yes, it was his guy.
"Oh well, one less scumbag. Nice entrance, sparky." Talon turned, ready for battle, but with a sick grin on his face as he eyed the new arrival. Waves of glee and eagerness could be felt rolling off of him. However, to the Black Lantern, it was as if a black shell was masking his emotions, with only small veins of red, green, and occasional, fleeting shots of yellow.
"So, tell me... they make that outfit for men, too?" He said as he unleashed twin birdarangs at the menace to fashion.
