Megan liked hanging out with Maxine for a lot of reasons. Megan liked her because she liked Disney movies, because she taught Megan what roller blades were, because she was funny and a good cook. When Megan had shown up at the Brownstone after Maxine had gotten done with school for the week, and asked if she could talk to her about something, the first thing on Maxine's mind was get her somewhere where they could both have a good time AND talk about what was bothering her friend.

Maxine sat on a chair next to her friend, eating her peanut buttercup sundae.

"So," she said, leaning forward, giving Megan a smile, as she took another bite of her sundae. "What was it that you wanted to talk about? You said that something was on your mind, right?"

"I don't know. It's... kind of weird. And it's probably silly." Megan murmured, her smile dropping off into a subdued sort of expression as she took up another spoonful of ice cream.

"I'm just..." She took a deep breath, then made herself spit it out. "I think something's wrong with me."

A concerned look crossed Maxine's face. "Megan...if you think there's something wrong with you, then please, tell me. If there really is something wrong, we can see if maybe Dr. Midnite or someone can help."

"What are dreams supposed to be like?"

The question is quiet and her face flushes - a little green instead of red becuase she's rather off her game right now.

"Are they supposed to feel ... you know... real?"
