[Summary] Some easily forgettable moments in life can bring about the biggest and most heart-warming revelations.
[A/N] This was typed out rather quickly, even though it took me a while to settle on the interpretation on "Epiphany" - which baffled me at the start. I was playing Holding Back The Tears (Instrumental) on repeat and I think the week's past events may have also influenced this.
It is written in second-person, since I have just read
silhouettedwing's response to drabble challenge 8.
This is for her, and a reminder for me to cherish my friends.
Interpretation based on dictionary.com's:
3. a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience.
You know, moments of revelations ought to be part of a climax, something that hits you hard and leaves you rocking with the aftershocks.
Something that leaves such a noticeable impact on you, something that you will easily remember for life.
"Hyung, this really not the time, nor the place," you back away from the approaching man, who is intent on shaking out the problem that constantly plagues you.
He rolls his eyes and continues his advance, fingers spread out and waving like octopus tentacles.
"You know, if would be easier for all of us if you would just open up," Yunho interrupts and you gratefully scramble out of Jaejoong's oncoming path.
However, becfore you can make your great escape, Yunho slams his arm to one side and blocks the only way out - the door.
You pout a little at his actions and glance back towards Jaejoong who has now halted and is waiting for what happens next. Yunho slowly brings his arm to his side but looks away, "Whatever it is, we are always here."
You stand there, stunned. You nod weakly and run towards your room as tears blur your vision.
You realise - they all love you.
And I realise that I'm first. >.<
