The Watchmen Movie

This looks to be pretty good as far a movies go, and for something that will sell to an audience that has now idea who the Watchmen are, but I still look at everything as been too clean, or too... refined. Since its supposed to be a cold war era story, the characters seem too well equipped for what they're doing, they look too advanced. Still, it ( Read more... )

Hmm...

I dis-like the visuals. I have no doubt it will stay as true to the graphic novel as Hollywood will allow. But it looks really Sin City/300-y.

I will remain indecisive.

Yeah, as far as representation that's gonna be sketchy at best for something of Alan Moores.

That's probably the best stance to have on it as of yet.

The eye candy is cool. I guess my question in terms of faithfulness is if they can capture any of the moral greyness that really summed up the story. Usually that's the part that I expect Hollywood to gum up. That and, focusing too much on explaining how superheroes work, instead of trusting the audience to just get it.

Well, as far as exposition goes, David Hayter helped write the script, and he knows that exposition doesn't work as well in film as it does in comics. Hopefully, there'll be much less of that, and more to what the story's about.

Also, I wanna see Rorchac go nuts on fools.
