I'm eyeing ebikes, but I'd be worried that it would get stolen. I read an article about how to lock one up to make it less likely though. And I'm eyeing a tricycle for better balance. I found one that I really like, with a removable battery, which is useful, but I wouldn't order one until I get back to Urbana. It would be great for short errands ( Read more... )

Where we live e bikes are targeted. They are great for commuting but unless u can secure them inside where you are going...at least where we live...they probably won't be there when u get back.

I'm hoping that an e-tricycle would be nerdy enough to be less of a target, but maybe I should reserve it for errands where I don't have to lock it up.
