The handyman is here and working. I overslept and broke records pulling myself together. I realized that I need more black t-shirts, so I'll look for some (done--I especially like one with origami cranes on it). I also bought some navy beachy shoes.

I love the hat! It's not hard to pack a hat in a suitcase. Just put it in facing up, put stuff around the brim, and fill the inside of the hat with stuff. They really don't take up much room when you consider they're just thin straw.

Hat packing tip. Put the hat in your bag crown-side down. Place soft items around the underside of the brim (like ring the hat with socks). Place more soft items in the crown.
