One of my mother's helpers was a woman who she met at Culver's. Jane was a gem. Once Mother hired her Jane started getting other business and eventually quit Culver's. When Mother died my brother hired her to do anything and everything, to give her money, partly as thanks for being so wonderful for the past two years. She was a lifesaver. Your plan to get someone to box things up made me think of her.
Jane left a note one day after working at the house, saying she would be honored to have my mother's mink coat, and would wear it in her memory. I did not have to think twice about that. I didn't think anyone would want a mink coat these days. I would have just brought it home and it would have hung in my closet until I died. Even if Jane sells it in a year or two, I'm still happy it went to her.
Too bad Jane doesn't live closer to your mom's!

Jane sounds wonderful. The woman whom I hired seems nice. I hope that she works out and does a lot of stuff here.
