Woke up around 6:30 AM. Got going close to 7:30.

More excessive heat warnings today, and I have to go to the dentist.

Zara was blocking Mimi's path, so she went under my chair to get around Zara. Mimi's off for a snooze in the TV room, now that she's had her breakfast. And Zara went off to snooze in the bedroom. (They sleep at opposite ends of ( Read more... )

I hope that suit arrives in time. I know I hate it when I want to swim and can't. I was hoping for an early dismissal from work tomorrow, which is the hottest day we are supposed to have this week, and the early dismissal was just canceled. I wanted to go to my mother's place after work and have a good evening at the pool. I can probably still go, but it will be a shorter swim time.

Have you tried the Daily Calm app? I have been using it for a couple of years now and I find it helpful. There are too daily 10-minute meditations, stretching exercises, bedtime stories, breathing exercises and short meditations. For someone who has a train of thought that goes off the rails constantly, I have found the app useful.

I was in a high end swimsuit store a few years ago and the sales clerk told me baby shampoo works just fine for washing swimsuits. I have been using it for a while now. It seems to work well and it's cheap.

The swimsuit should come today!

I haven't tried Calm. How much does it cost?

I have some swimsuit detergent. What I don't have is shampoo to get the chlorine out of my hair.

I think a year’s subscription is about $60.

Are those guided meditations available online? Or through Wondrium perhaps?

They're not prerecorded. They're Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 AM Central Time for a half-hour. You need to register and there is a link here: https://asia.si.edu/events-overview/workshops/

An article says that there are some prerecorded ones. I'll check them out and report back.

Hah, I'm waiting for a new swimsuit, too. I can still use the one I have but it's about to disintegrate.
