Ironing? Noooo...

Zara is hungry and is circling me. She's a goofy girl.

I have two Costa Rica trips picked out: one that's affordable and one that has everything that I want. Need to start saving for it. The question is do I go for a "taster" trip, assuming that I'll go back, or do I wait until I can take the trip of my dreams? Any thoughts?

What was in your wrap?

My favorite snack, when I was working in an office, was apple slices dipped in melted Merkts cheese. I didn't feel guilty about the carbs because I figure it's got fiber and is not processed sugar. Please don't ask my to justify the electric orange processed cheese!

Roast beef and lettuce.

Apple slices and cheese sounds good!

I’d save up for the ideal trip, mostly on the grounds that there are always more places to go to.

By the way, one of my friends travels a lot with Gate 1 and really likes them. I rarely take tours in places with actual infrastructure so they’re not really my speed, but I admit to weird tastes in travel.

Yeah, that's a good point. I have a long "bucket list". Now I'm thinking of staying in the US this year and save up for various trips abroad.

Good to hear that Gate1 is good. It's hard to tell how good a tour company would be before booking with them.

Take the trip of your dreams-even if you have to save up a little and wait longer to go. Costa Rica is beautiful and there is so much there to explore and do, that you can always pick up trips later on. I love it when we combine trips. When we went to the Pacific Coast, we also took a day trip to Nicaragua (also beautiful--their cities are nicer than Costa Rica's, but it's more dangerous there) and when we go to our favorite places in the Caribbean, we try to make a day trip to Panama (usually Boca del Toro).

Yeah, that's probably what I'm going to do. I'm thinking of staying in the US this year and save money for various trips abroad.

You and me both on our disdain for ironing. I'm grateful for perm press fabrics, and dryers that smooth wrinkles! But, when you have to -- well - you have to! 😎

When I was a child, my mom used to spend almost ONE ENTIRE AFTERNOON a week -- usually a Tuesday -- ironing our clothes. What could she have done that was more useful (or fun!) with that time?
