I can so see this having been the reason that Snape went to Voldemort in the first place. Well done, your characterisations of Snape I always appreciate. You make him human but still the meanie that I love to hate.
Thank you! I think it's interesting to see Snape's complicated family relationships as one of his reasons for joining Voldemort. There's no denying that Snape is an arse -- but I think that there are so many unexplored reasons for those twisted layers of his personalities. And underneath everything, I think he's very insecure, but still very human.
*realizes that she finds twisted, morally ambigious men waaaay too interesting*
*sigh*
I've turned into a fic writing fool over the last week or so, haven't I? I even have an idea for next week's challenge. Let's see if I can finish it in time.
Yeah, I have very little hope for Snape's survival in Book 7. *sigh* His death is almost guaranteed, even if it does turn out that he's actually loyal to Dumbledore after all (or, more accurately, not loyal to Voldemort).
So I better enjoy all the Snape fics now, before he's dead forever (although, I suppose if Sirius can show up after being killed by a curtain, then Snape can show up after being killed viciously by someone in a fit of righteousness).
That was really good, sad, but it was very Snape. You've defintely made Snape more 'real' in this story than in alot of the ones I've read with him in it.
Thank you! I find Snape to be the most interesting character -- morally ambigious, unclear motives, shaded loyalties -- and I really like trying to explore his motivations for some of the decisions he's made. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Hello. You are one of the final nominees for Best Parody in a Slash Category at hposcars. Voting ends tonight. The winner will be announced on Sunday, March 12.

Poor Sev, I almost feel bad for killing him now...
Beautifully written, I really did feel for the rejected boy.
Thank you.

I'm thinking he will be a casualty in the next book. What a daft statement. After what he did in HBP he has to be. D'oh!
