Just wonderful. I love your take on why he chooses to "forget" about his muggleside and the bitterness with his father. Nicely done. ^_^

Thanks. I definitely think that Snape's family is one of the factors in the decisions he made. I really enjoyed exploring that. Glad you liked it.

My favorite part was the owl waiting for the letter.

I like your interpretation of what led to Severus's choice to join the DE's.

Thank you. I was trying to come up with a way that a muggle nurse would send an owl -- so I had the owl wait for her. Glad you liked it.

This is excellent. I have to admit I'm a Snape-hater and never read him, but the notation "gen" made me curious. I'm really glad I read this - it's a fabulous insight on Snape and a very plausible reason for his choices.

I fear that fics like this may make me change my mind about Snape!

Woo hoo! I'm fulfilling one of my main purposes in life -- converting Snape haters into Snape lovers... well, at least Snape likers.

Seriously, that's a great compliment. Thank you. Snape is intriguing because of all his ambiguities and layers. Just when we feel we know something about Snape, another fact is introduced that changes our perception. I just find him fascinating.

He's definitely the most complex character in Potterverse. I like stories like yours. I can't read Snape pairings, though.

Thank you. I especially didn't want to mention the marauders themselves in this fic. I almost did, but thought it would work against the main point -- Snape and his relationship with his father. So glad you liked it.
